If you missed yesterday’s post, look back to see the impact of having a high-trust organization. It’s shocking.
Today, we will focus on ways to build trust. This information comes from a Harvard Business Review article that I will provide a link to in the comments.
🎯 🎯BE TRANSPARENT
✅ Share information openly and candidly. Don’t make decisions in secret.
✅ Provide regular feedback. Set a clear team vision and expectations of team members.
✅ Create an environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up and voicing their opinions.
🎯🎯 BE AUTHENTIC
✅ Improve your self-awareness. Leaders are more authentic when they know themselves and how others perceive them.
✅ Show vulnerability so others see you as human and approachable.
✅ Embrace the journey to authenticity and it’s ups and downs. Be resilient and keep improving.
🎯🎯 BE RELIABLE
✅ Walk the talk and do what you say you will do.
✅ Grow yourself and your capabilities to better support your team and their needs.
✅ Demonstrate integrity, fairness, and consistency among all people.
That’s it, only three things to do (and a few parts to each). Lucky, none of this is rocket science.
Don’t expect to get this perfect on your first attempt. But keep working at these things and you will be enjoying the benefits of a high-trust team/organization soon.
Check out the post from yesterday to see the benefit numbers.
Does anything on this list surprise you?
