This quote is the last thought John Kotter leaves for readers in the Preface of his 2012 edition of his classic 1995 book Leading Change.
Then, on the last page of the last chapter Kotter tells us that people who do the following 3 things “provide a profoundly important service for the entire human community”:
✅ Encourage others to leap into the future
✅ Help them overcome natural fears
✅ Expand leadership capacity in organizations, as a result of the first two items
His last line: “We need more of these people. And we will get them”.
How’s that for a call to action?
