As the robot from ‘Lost In Space’ would say ‚ÄúDanger, Will Robinson‚Äù as he flails his robot arms.

There’s a real danger of assuming you know what others mean without validating it with them. This often leads to misunderstanding and misalignment.

Active Listening is a useful way to better understand what others are saying. Paraphrasing or mirroring back what others say is a great validation activity.

When in doubt, reach out and validate your understanding.
