I heard about Erasure Poetry on a blog I follow this morning. According to Wikipedia, “Erasure Poetry is also known as blackout poetry, is a form of found poetry wherein a poet takes an existing text and erases, blacks out, or otherwise obscures a large portion of the text, creating a wholly new work from what remains.”

The example I saw was interesting and insightful. I thought I would attempt to do this with the Manifesto for Agile Software Development’s 12 principles. It’s a bit rough but I think it brings the essence of the key points forward. Here it is…

Deliver value and welcome change. Early and frequently with a shorter timescale. Work together to motivate, support, and trust, to get the job done. Conversation and progress promote development. Good design enhances simplicity and teams. Reflect and adjust behavior.
